INC has a general rule of being mature and showing respect to others, but there's some extra MMO conduct guidelines that we expect INC Members to follow:
In General
Item Rolls
When in a group/party, and an item is up for a roll, you should only select need when it is for the character you are currently playing. When grouping if it is suitable for your companion, you should ask (or wait and read the other reactions) before selecting Need, however, if you are doing Hardmodes or Ops, do not ask and please just select greed if you require it for your companion.
Unless previously discussed with those involved, if you are helping someone through a flashpoint or quest that is far lower than your level, you should either greed, or pass on any rolls given. The few credits you'll get for those items won't make a difference at your level, but will help them dramatically.
Loot stealing/Ninja-ing
If you see a security box, and someone is fighting the group of mobs defending it, you should NOT go loot the box. This is often referred to as "Ninja-ing" and is generally bad sportsmanship.
The above also applies to Quest related bosses etc. If you see someone waiting for a boss to spawn, invite them to a group - you'll both get the quest reward, and can make the fight easier. If they refuse. Wait your turn.
Social Conduct
When you have successfully won a PvP instance, please be gracious in your win. Whilst tempting to point and laugh or 'teabag' the corpse fo your opponent, please take into consideration their feelings and act with sportsmanship instead and refrain from using negative emotes or actions.
You should refrain from swearing with typed words in either the guild chat or the alliance channels as it is not permitted, but you may swear on the voice servers as long as you are not asked not to for whatever reason during that session. Please be mindful of others using these resources and treat them with politeness and respect, do not be disrespectful.
Our Alliance Obligations
Please bear in mind that we are part of the RISA alliance and as such we need to abide by the code of conduct containted in the post here. Added to which, please treat any alliance members with respect and as you would another INC player if you saw them out and about - I personally often like to use some form of greet emote in order to acknowledge them, this last part is not a requirement but it is pleasant to do for all concerned.
Events
When doing certain events, please pay attention to the requirements for those events and ensure you meet the criteria so as not to harm & frustrate those in the group with you. You should also make use of the following guidelines and minimum gear requirements for different ypes of end-game progression as stated here.
Doing the above repeatedly and often is an easy way to give yourself, and INC a bad name.
